Centenary of the End of the Great War

As part of the events to mark the end of the Great War Tanworth Parish Council has sponsored the Tommy Trail.  This country-wide initiative includes the installation of a number of silhouette sculptures around the parish representing World War I soldiers.

On Friday 26 October there will be a service of commemoration on the Village Green at noon followed by tea and cake in the Village Hall.  All are welcome.

Six Tommy Silhouettes have been “seated” around the parish including outside the Village Hall, near the War Memorial and in the Church.  There will be a prize draw where residents can win a family ticket to Umberslade Farm Park.

To enter visit all six sites and take a photo of each one and send them by email to office@tanworth-pc.org.uk.

The draw will take place on Thursday 15 November at the Parish Council meeting.
